Biden’s Pro-Immigration App is Now Used to Boot Illegals
The CBP One app, which helped shepherd illegal migrants into the United States, has been refashioned by the Trump administration to kick them out.

_WHAT’S HAPPENING_
The Trump administration is reportedly repurposing the Biden-era CBP One app, which was originally used to fly illegal migrants to cities throughout the US. The new version of the app, called "CBP Home," allows migrants to register their intent to leave the United States and voluntarily remove themselves.
_THE FACTS_
The CBP One app, under the Biden administration, was initially created to streamline the asylum application process, allowing migrants to make appointments at the US border to claim asylum.
These appointments often resulted in entry into the US with an immigration court date, sometimes years later.
Approximately 320,000 migrants used the app to quietly fly into 43 American airports between January 2023 and December 2023. By the end of Biden’s term, around one million had entered the country using CBP One.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stated that starting now, the CBP One app will be updated to a new version, CBP Home. Illegal migrants who have automatic updates on their phones — or who update the app — will be allowing DHS to use data from previous registrations to track them for removal.
The new app allows and encourages migrants to submit their intent to self-deport from the US.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem explained that doing so would give them the opportunity to reapply for legal migration.
“If they don’t” report themselves for deportation, said Noem, “we will find them, we will deport them, and they will never return.”
