Biden Signs Execute Order Expanding Child Sex Changes

On Wednesday, President Joe Biden signed an executive order to protect transgender children’s access to "gender-affirming" medical care.

What is gender-affirming medical care? It’s the systemic use of puberty blockers, hormone injections, and/or gender-reassignment surgery on children experiencing gender dysphoria. Such gender-reassignment surgeries often encourage the genital mutilation of boys and the surgical removal of children’s reproductive organs. These are irreversible treatments.

The Biden administration has been pushing sex-change operations for minors for months now. In March, Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services released guidance that endorsed gender reassignment procedures for children, among other treatments like hormone therapy.

Conservatives have been on the offensive in attempts to protect children from these treatments and surgeries. Earlier in the month, DeSantis moved to end gender-affirming care for minors (we’ll report more on this Monday.) In February, Texas. Gov Greg Abbot compared gender-affirming care to “child abuse” to stop it.

Big picture: There’s a war in America over children. Progressives are fighting to ensure that children can be part of the new transgender movement, which culminates in the gender-affirming care mentioned above. Conservatives are fighting to keep children out of it.
