Biden Was “Transparent,” Trump Was “Attacking the Democracy”

During one of his recent confrontations with the press, Biden called a reported a "stupid son of a b*tch."

Two instances: Last week, Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich’ asked President Biden why he was waiting on Russian President Vladimir Putin to “make the first move” in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. He laughed, “What a stupid question.”

On Monday, Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy shouted at Biden, “Will you take questions about inflation? Do you think inflation is a political liability ahead of the midterms?” Thinking his microphone was off, Biden muttered, “No, that’s a great asset. More inflation. What a stupid son of a b*tch.”

Media response: While both Biden and former President Donald Trump called reporters offensive names, the media coverage has been very different. The New York Times called Trump’s insults “attacks on the press,” yet cited Biden’s similar vulgarity as proof of his transparency.

Ultimately: Americans are burdened by current inflation: the consumer-price index is up 6.8% compared to 2020, groceries are up 5.4%, beef is up 24%, and gasoline is up nearly 50%. The Biden administration is dodging important questions in a disrespectful manner.

Between the lines: As America’s situation at home deteriorates and Biden’s approval rating tanks, the administration fans the flame of war with Russia; wars are notorious for grabbing attention away from domestic issues.
