👋 Mike Waltz was removed as National Security Advisor. Waltz, who accidentally added a journalist to a secret Signal chat, has now been removed from the position, but President Trump has other plans for him: UN Ambassador. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will temporarily take over the NSA position. Rumored candidates for Waltz’s replacement include Middle East Envoy Steve Witkoff and Ukraine Envoy Keith Kellogg.

✅ Congress overwhelmingly passed an anti-revenge porn bill. The Take It Down Act, backed by First Lady Melania Trump, bans sexual depictions of individuals, whether those images are real or created by AI, particularly those published to punish the pictured individual. Violators will be subject to fines or prison time. President Donald Trump intends to sign the legislation.

🩺 The White House is hesitant on Medicaid cuts. President Trump is reportedly very skeptical of cutting Medicaid by hundreds of billions of dollars, as the House of Representatives’ current legislation would do. The White House instead wants to find savings with alternative methods. There is no guarantee that the Senate would pass a bill with such massive Medicaid cuts, and it would likely be extremely unpopular with Americans.

📰 The White House set up its own newswire. “White House Wire,” a new official WhiteHouse.gov website, compiles press releases, tweets, audio/video conversations, and third-party articles, all of which are positive for the administration. The effort is likely an attempt to beat back mainstream media efforts to portray the administration negatively. Some noted that the layout was extremely similar to Drudge Report — once a conservative site that has now turned anti-Trump.
