Media distorts the scope of a Supreme Court gay marriage case
Major media outlets framed the Court’s refusal to hear Kim Davis’s appeal as a reaffirmation of same-sex marriage rights. In reality, her petition only focused on First Amendment and tort liability questions — not actually overturning Obergefell v. Hodges — a key detail left out of much of the coverage.

TPUSA tour rocked by Antifa violence

_WHAT’S HAPPENING_
A Turning Point USA event at UC Berkeley erupted into violence Monday night as Antifa thugs and others clashed with police and attendees, leaving several injured. This took place two months to the day since TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated.
Hosted by comedian Rob Schneider and Christian author Dr. Frank Turek, this event was the final stop of TPUSA’s “American Comeback Tour.”
_THE FACTS_
TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet said Antifa “blocked our campus tour stop with tear gas, fireworks, and glass bottles.”
Communist protesters held a sign saying, “Drown fascism in a sea of resistance,” near a pile of bloody “Freedom” t-shirts — the same one Charlie Kirk was wearing when he was murdered.
A Kirk supporter selling “Freedom” t-shirts was attacked by a protester, as onlookers chanted, “F*** you fascist.”
Protesters also chanted, “F*** your dead homie,” referring to Kirk.
Police reported multiple arrests, including one for battery and others for breaching barricades.
DOJ Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon confirmed a federal civil rights and anti-terrorism probe is underway.
Attorney General Pam Bondi said the FBI-led Joint Terrorism Task Force is investigating the “violent riots.”
The group “By Any Means Necessary” (BAMN) organized the protest and is linked to the nonprofit “United for Equality and Affirmative Action Legal Defense Fund.”
BAMN’s leaders have affiliations with communist and Trotskyist organizations.
_OUR INSIGHTS _
The violence perpetrated against the Right at UC Berkley proves that Antifa and many on the Left want conservatives dead, not just out of the public square. The willingness to celebrate the assassination of Charlie Kirk and then attack those honoring him shows how far beyond debate this has gone.
The question remains what the Trump administration will do about it. Although President Trump has signed orders cracking down on Antifa and AG Pam Bondi has opened an investigation against the rioters, it’s clear that these threats are not deterring them.
