🏅 Trump honored Charlie Kirk with Medal of Freedom. President Trump awarded Charlie Kirk the Medal of Freedom in a Rose Garden ceremony attended by conservative media personalities. His widow, Erika Kirk, accepted the award on Charlie’s behalf and vowed to continue his mission.

🗳️ Supreme Court weighs Voting Rights Act rollback. The Court heard arguments in a Louisiana redistricting case that could roll back parts of the VRA. If the challenge prevails, it could open up as many as 19 congressional districts to swing toward Republicans.

🚫 Judge blocked Trump’s layoffs during shutdown. A San Francisco judge temporarily barred the Trump administration from firing federal workers during the shutdown. Labor unions claim the layoffs are an abuse of power intended to pressure Congress to reach a deal to reopen the government.
