WHAT WE'RE WATCHING

1. 🇩🇰 Denmark labeled the US a security risk. In a report released this week, the Danish intelligence services highlighted US tariffs and its aggressive posture toward Greenland as evidence of American antagonism. Relations between America and Denmark have soured as President Trump has pushed for Greenland to become a US territory.
2. 🇹🇭 Thailand and Cambodia have resumed a ceasefire. After the initial ceasefire — brokered by President Trump — broke down, the former invaded, capturing a Cambodian village. But Trump has now announced that both sides have again agreed to stop fighting.
3. 🇯🇵 Japan conducted military drills with the United States. The drills come amid rapidly increasing tensions between China and Japan over the latter’s statements on defending Taiwan. Previously, America had urged caution on Japan’s part — but the drills indicate that may be changing.
4. 🇭🇳 Honduras’ election result is still unclear. President Trump’s last-minute endorsement of a conservative candidate helped launch him into first place — but just barely. The Socialists, who came in a distant third place, are alleging fraud and backing the second-place centrist, as slow counting continues and recounts loom.
