How Trump is Reshaping the Deep State to His Advantage

Sounds wonderful but in four years if the dems win.....poof, all gone again.

Dismantling, or at least neutering, The Deep State must be a top priority of the Trump Administration. No other politician will have what it takes to get it done, and these un-elected bureaucrats operating in the shadows are truly the biggest threat to democracy in this country.

Congressional staffers are a bigger worry. Staffers often have civil service protection and remain in place for long periods of time. Typically they prepare the legislation presented by either a Representative or a Senator. Staff who work for members of the House of Representative will likely know more about the processes, procedures, requirements and "what works" as well as the needed structure of Legislative Bills than the elected Representative. While this disparity in knowledge allows Congress to function without disruption, it also leaves the first term member of the House of Representatives somewhat dependent on the staffers. Elected officials come and go but the staff remain. Term limits do nothing to change staff roles. Bureaucracies function because of the staff who do the work. Those same staff exert more control than many realize. Not only over the ebb and flow of work, but also the direction and focus. They may be worse than Agency personnel.

When you shine a light, the rats will scurry. This help Trump exterminate the career bureaucrats who embed themselves for the sole purpose of thwarting his agenda.

This is great. Too many bureaucratic and left-over Obama employees were hanging around to do what they could to destroy Trumps presidency. Hopefully, that wont happen this time

The career bureaucrats should be put on a plane with the criminal illegal aliens and dumped out over Argentina (with empty parachutes). I know you can't publish that, I just had to say it.

The key is Congress. If Republicans lose the majority in either the House and Senate, it's game over! Trump won't be able push through his legislation and will be left with only Executive Orders (EOs) to push his agenda (policies). EOs can be quickly rescinded if 2028 brings us another Democratic president. What he needs is a significate majority in both houses of Congress, then things will really start to change for the better! Why people vote Democrat today is beyond me?

He finally has the tools to implement his agenda and we're not hearing the word "Impeach" every hour of every day this time around.

GOOD! It’s about time. What hurt Trump’s first term were the leftover government employees from prior administration(s) whose job was to oppose and try to destroy him.

Cleansing Congress was one of Trump's campaign promises of his first term, but he did too little too late and was caught short of his goal. This term, he is dealing with Obama's gang right out of the gate and it shouldn't be long before that issue is resolved, to the advantage of the American people. However, the Obama's are not going down easily. After all, they did purchase a couple of local mansions, one in DC and one in Martha's Vineyard, so they intend to see their underworld plots through more admins than Trump's. They can be slowed down with the new EOs, but not stopped permanently, particularly with the current climate in Congress that continues to disregard proposed policy. At least we're not hearing "impeach" every hour of every day this time!
