In the Court of America's Sun King

Every time I've heard someone complain about Trump's demeanor and lack of political decorum, I remind them that he is not a politician defined by a specific ideology. Rather he is an extremely successful businessman, and as such, he is running our country as a business. In my view, he is neither a republican nor a democrat. He is a patriot!

This is a very interesting comparison. My favorite of Pres. Trump's expansions of power and influence is VP J.D. Vance. He is a whip-smart, commanding public speaker who communicates clearly (and was there no teleprompter in TX?). It is a blindingly stark contrast to the uselessness and vapid presence of our last VP.

Every day the leftist media and Dem's tactics of deception and emotional manipulation is being openly exposed more and more, While Trumps open and honest style is clear for all to see - and where it's not clear - there tends to be a curtain of uncertain expectations much like wondering what a chess players next move might be - and that's not a bad thing unless your opposing that player. I trust Trumps motives, he's on our side, helping us, while exposing those within and without the gates who want to dismantle our National strength-pride-safety, and traditional American way of life !

Yeah, comparing Trump to Louie XIV is interesting and I understand why the comparison was made, only for leadership style, but the Dems will jump on this "big time" as part of their "orange man bad" campaign. Trump said it best at his joint secession of Congress, there's nothing that he can say or do that will make the Dems happy, nothing! Many of my friends are progressive liberals and I can't use the "T" name in front of them (Trump). It's the dog whistle from HELL for them!

The Dems strategy is simple (Hakeem Jeffries/Chuck Schumer), whatever Trump does resist, that simple! You'll never turn these people around as long as Trump is president.

Quite frankly, I don't care how Trump does it, but if we don't get the deficit/debt under control soon, we'll have a federal government that only has money for three things, Medicare/Medicaid, Social Security, and interest on the debt, with interest eventually consuming the other two!

All of this article is well thought out and on point. The real challenge for Trump and his cabinet; get the house and senate GOP to work together and codify Trump's Executive orders. EO's are fine, but need to be made law so, at some time in the future, another administration will not simply reverse all the good Trump has done.

Trump is attempting to wrap up all the issues on which he was elected and, at some point there will come an end...probably later this year... when he will slow down and life and the Dems might calm down. I'm not confident that the Dems will ever calm, but one can only hope. He has surrounded himself with excellent advisors, so it's a no-brainer. I fully trust him and them!

I believe that the Trump is king comparison in reference to New York is that he has returned as the king of New York.

I agree with Scott Connell's comment. It seems appropriate to balance the comparison as it concerns leadership style. By leaving it as is, you have given fodder to the left, which already suggests that about him.

It's a cute idea, and the writer makes a few valid observations, but I don't think it's a good idea comparing our President to the king who's disdain for the masses led to the French Revolution. That finish was horrible enough that any positive correlations are swamped by the bigger implication. King Louis rule led to chaos, Trump is trying to take us to heaven on earth!
