San Francisco Unified School District has endorsed radical gender theory, various LGBT identities, and “gender-affirming” health resources for students while working to conceal it all from parents, leaked insider documents show.
Pronouns and sexual orientation: Teachers are given classroom slides to introduce different gender identities as early as elementary school, most notably through “International Pronouns Day.” Middle and high school students learn about sexual orientation, which the material defines as “who you want to ‘get squishy’ with.” A list of sexual preferences includes “pansexual,” “omnisexual,” and “lesbi-curious.”
Secrecy from parents: If a student embraces a new gender identity or sexual orientation, teachers keep it “confidential” unless the student gives “prior and clear consent” to let a parent know. Students fill out a form asking, “What name would you like me to call you in class?” and “What name would you like me to use with your grown-ups?”
“Gender-affirming health services”: Student groups for “queer, transgender, gender non-conforming, and questioning youth” are available to students from middle school onward. The groups direct students to local “mental health professionals” who will affirm their chosen identities and “clinics that offer gender-affirming health services.”
Big picture: Schools nationwide include radical progressive ideologies in class material for students as young as kindergarten. This problem has spawned a legislative battle surrounding parental rights in education—while states like Florida have moved to increase parental rights against progressive ideology in schools, states like California are moving to reduce them.
