Honking is now illegal: A Canadian judge has made truck horn honking illegal in Ottawa for the next ten days.

• Brutalizing a 78-year-old man: Ottawa police detained and brutalized 78-year-old Gerry Charlebois, a 4-foot,10-inch retired janitor, for honking and giving protestors a thumbs up.

Members of Trudeau's party challenge his policy: Joël Lightbound, a liberal member of parliament, publicly challenged Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, saying that the confusion and concern Canadians feel about the country's pandemic restrictions are warranted and that it's time to reexamine Canada's pandemic response.

“Just watch me:” In response to the convoy, the mainstream Canadian media is pushing for Trudeau to take inspiration from his father, Pierre Trudeau, and have his own “just watch me” moment.

• During Pierre's reign as the 15th prime minister of Canada, he squashed a violent uprising known as the October Crisis, in which a cabinet member was kidnapped and murdered.

• Pierre invoked the War Measures Act, which took away civil liberties to ensure law and order. He sent thousands of troops to raid homes and arrest members of the Front de libération du Québec. When asked how far he would go to defeat the uprising, he infamously said, “Just watch me.”

• The Freedom Convoy is not remotely comparable to the violent October Crisis.
