Biden Coerced His Son’s Ukrainian Business Partner into Paying Him a Bribe, Per FBI Document

By Hudson Crozier

What happened: Congress has released an FBI document alleging that President Joe Biden took a bribe to help his son Hunter’s business partners avoid prosecution. The document describes an undercover informant’s memory of conversations with Mykola Zlochevsky, who was an executive at the Ukrainian energy firm Burisma where Hunter served on the board while his father was vice president.

According to the allegations: Zlochevsky was worried about a Ukrainian prosecutor’s investigation into Burisma because Zlochevsky “could not show that Burisma was innocent.” Zlochevsky said that “Hunter will take care of all of those issues through his dad” and held onto Hunter “so everything [would] be okay.” He was told to do so by “both” Hunter and Joe Biden. Hunter had no qualifications to be on the board otherwise.

The alleged deal: Then-Vice President Biden withheld aid from the Ukrainian government until it fired the prosecutor targeting Burisma. (He later bragged about it publicly.) Zlochevsky said Joe and Hunter Biden “pushed” him to pay them millions for protecting Burisma and claimed to have recordings of the coercion.

The cover-up: Though this document was never classified, the FBI fought to keep it from lawmakers before eventually giving in. The Department of Justice hid the document from IRS agents investigating Hunter’s financial history, potentially saving his father from investigation as well.

Helping the Biden campaign: Similar to its attempts to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop story before the 2020 election, the FBI also received the bribery document months before the election and kept it a secret. It allowed its investigation to take over three years, sparing the president from controversy until now.
