WHAT WE'RE WATCHING

❗️ Jill Biden thought Joe had a stroke during Trump debate. Former first lady Jill Biden admitted to CBS News that she thought her husband was having a stroke during his June 2024 debate disaster against Trump. She claimed she had never seen him like that before or since, raising questions about why the White House blamed a cold and jet lag instead.

→ Notably, the day after the debate, Jill Biden led chants of “four more years” even as she was concerned that her husband was suffering from extremely poor health.

🇮🇷 Trump circulates draft peace agreement for Iran war. President Trump shared a draft peace deal with allies, including Israel, that would open the Strait of Hormuz, lift the US blockade of Iranian ports, and give Iran access to roughly $12B frozen assets. The deal defers firm nuclear commitments from Iran and requires a permanent ceasefire, including in Lebanon, making it deeply unpalatable for Israel, which is currently striking Hezbollah targets in the south of the country.

🗽 Mamdani launched DOGE knock-off commission. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani created a Commission on Government Efficiency (COGE) to “find ways for our city to work smarter, faster, and more effectively for working people.” The commission is chaired by a longtime Democratic operative who ran George Soros' Open Society Foundation, and includes Democratic Socialists of America members, but no Republicans.

🚔 DOJ sues sanctuary states over license plates. The Justice Department filed lawsuits against several sanctuary states for blocking the Department of Homeland Security from obtaining undercover license plates needed for ICE operations. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said these actions allow dangerous criminals to escape justice and terrorize American communities.
