Carlson announced he will help build a third party after breaking with Trump and the GOP over the Iran war, arguing many Democrats and Republicans are “in lockstep” on war and finance. He framed the two-party system as a “one-party state” and insists he does not plan to run for office.
💍 Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce tied the knot at MSG. The pop megastar and Chiefs tight end got married on Friday at New York's Madison Square Garden after already secretly marrying in Nashville. Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, with many celebrities in attendance, reportedly including performances by Stevie Nicks and Paul McCartney.
🗳️ Johnson pledges one more push for the SAVE Act. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said Congress will try a fourth time to pass the bill requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote and photo ID to cast a ballot. Johnson believes a stripped-down version, without mail-in ballot restrictions, can win over enough Senate Republicans who have stalled the legislation for weeks.
🏛️ California leftists block bill preventing sex offender candidates. California’s Senate Elections Committee killed a bill that would have barred all registered sex offenders from running for state or local positions. Far-leftist Scott Wiener (D) advanced a narrower alternative that specifically excludes certain sex crimes against minors from disqualifying candidates.
