WHAT WE'RE WATCHING

🌍 Rubio calls on Europe to join America's new order. Secretary of State Marco Rubio urged European leaders at the Munich Security Conference to abandon "foolish" concepts like open borders and join the US in policies built on "peace through strength." Rubio dismissed the "rules-based global order" and warned that President Trump "demands seriousness and reciprocity" from allies.
🗳️ Schumer vows to block voter ID bill "tooth and nail." Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) promised Democrats will fight the SAVE America Act, calling it "Jim Crow 2.0" despite Pew polling showing 83 percent of Americans support voter ID requirements, including 71 percent of Democrats.
🛡️ Tom Homan defended ICE agents wearing masks during arrests. Border czar Tom Homan pushed back on Democratic demands that ICE officers stop wearing masks, citing DHS data showing a 1,347 percent increase in assaults and an 8,000 percent spike in death threats against agents.
⚔️ Pentagon is planning for an extended military campaign against Iran. American defense officials are quietly preparing for a potential weeks-long military operation against Iran if President Trump orders one. The planning comes as US and Iranian representatives meet for nuclear talks, while the Navy has ordered another carrier strike group to the region.
Democrats using the “Jim Crow 2.0” language referring to policies that have overwhelming support seems like a big political miscalculation. If one needs an ID to buy alcohol, surely requiring one to vote in a federal election is not a burdensome demand — especially when more than 80 percent of Americans agree. — Brandon
