Spain's Socialist Prime Minister initially refused base access, and Germany's Chancellor called the conflict a "disastrous mistake."
⚠️ Iran ceasefire under strain within hours of announcement. The two-week ceasefire, brokered between Iran and the US with Pakistan's help, was tested almost immediately as Gulf states reported intercepting dozens of drones and missiles. Saudi Arabia destroyed nine drones; the UAE intercepted 17 missiles and 35 drones; Kuwait stopped 42 drones and four missiles. Iran's navy also told ships they still need permission to pass the Strait of Hormuz despite the agreement.
🗽 Mamdani’s “racial equity plan” sparks federal scrutiny. Socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) introduced a "racial equity plan" directing city resources specifically to "black and brown New Yorkers" to combat supposed institutional racism.
