🌎 Rubio secures deportation deals with 20 nations. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that the US has signed Safe Third Country agreements with 20 countries, allowing Immigration and Customs Enforcement to deport illegal migrants who refuse to return to their home countries or whose deportations are blocked by judges.
→ The deals have accelerated deportations dramatically, with roughly 80,000 migrants accepting voluntary deportations from January to March rather than risk transfer to unfamiliar countries in Africa or Asia.
✍️ Trump is in “no hurry” to finalize a deal. President Trump said on Saturday that he's in "no hurry" to finalize an agreement ending the war with Iran, saying he won't rush negotiations that could compromise American interests. The president demanded that Iran agree to never obtain a nuclear weapon and immediately reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and threatened to "finish it off militarily" if Iran refuses US terms.
🚁 Trump released drone port designs for the White House ballroom. President Trump posted mock-up images of a sophisticated drone port planned for the top of his proposed White House ballroom, calling it essential to protect the nation's capital with modern weaponry. Trump also criticized Judge Richard Leon for issuing an injunction to halt ballroom construction, warning the judge would be "held responsible for the Death and Destruction" if anything happens to Washington.
🚨 More scandals for Maine’s progressive Senate candidate. Maine’s Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner's wife reportedly warned his campaign about inappropriate messages to other women after discovering them shortly after Platner announced his candidacy for Senate. Platner was also found to have an inactive account on the social media site Kik — a platform known for enabling sexual predators — with a shirtless profile picture.
