_WHAT’S HAPPENING_
President Donald Trump has ordered the FBI to investigate a series of deaths and disappearances involving 11 scientists and researchers connected to government work in space, defense, and nuclear programs. The cases span from 2022 to early 2026 and include individuals who worked at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Los Alamos National Laboratory, MIT, Caltech, and other facilities handling classified research.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced the multi-agency probe on Friday, stating that "no stone will be unturned" to identify potential connections between the cases. Trump called the matter "pretty serious stuff" and said he hoped the pattern was coincidental, promising updates within two weeks.
