How Trump Wants to “Clean Out” Gaza

It all sounds good on paper but in reality no one wants this terrorist breeding ground in their country.

Why are we giving billions of dollars in aid to Egypt and Jordan? We're not even taking care of American citizens. I resent my tax money being sent to other countries. Let them take care of themselves.

The Nation State of Israel was formed in 1948 through an international decision. Palestine, on the other hand, is a geographic land designation established by the Romans. The political organization of the Palestinian "people" was the product of Anwar Arafat and his Palestinian Liberation Front; an effort that was not recognized by international law. Perhaps it is time to establish both a geographic designation and a political identity for a Nation State of Palestine. One that would impose territorial integrity requirements, a defined border, and have the force of international law to preserve and maintain peace between it and its neighboring countries. As it is now, the amorphous entity known as Palestine is a pariah devoid of political legitimacy or standing on the world's stage. Additionally, the population of Palestine is a relative hodge podge of different ethnic, religious or nationalities that little that binds them together beyond a common demand for a "homeland".

The main problem is many Palestinians (approx 40%) want the elimination of Israel. And now with the IDF operations in Gaza, to root out Hamas, I'm sure that number is much higher! I'm not sure how you overcome that? So, given that, Trump is right, make Egypt and Jordan take them in and start earning the $BILLIONS$ of US tax payers dollars we give or STOP the funds!

I urge ALL Americans to consider: like it or not, ISRAEL'S continuous existence is CRUCIAL TO OUR OWN. We lose Israel, then WE ARE NEXT. AND WITHOUT ISRAEL, WE WILL LIKELY LOSE. But even if we win it will be with the loss of possibly six figures worth of dead Americans. To cite just one example, there have been EXACTLY ZERO days since the ayatollahs overran Iran during which they have not called, very out loud, for "death to Little satan (Israel) AND to the Great satan (the US.)

There's no place in the world since the present state of Israel was est in 1947 to which the "Palestinian People" have been moved where war hasn't directly followed.

My credentials: As the Naval Beach Group Det O-in-C, MY BOOTS were on the beach three times and places in and around Beirut starting 5 June 1982 thru that fall until we were relieved by the succeding MedAmphibReadyGroup. 283 of my Shipmates died less than a year later. The casualty count is long since underway, WELL INTO the 1,000'S

Isreal has been the only one giving up land for peace and have been rewarded with neither. Palestinians should have been left in North Africa, but Isreal was bamboozled by the Clinton administration to let them return, and they've been nothing but trouble

There has never been peace in the Middle East - read the stories in the OT and Koran... If Gaza is, indeed cleaned out of terrorists, they will simply infiltrate other areas and bide their time until it's time to 'come out' again to fulfill their agenda, no matter what country they are living in. Americans should watch MI & WI for the emergence of terrorist groups. There are probably groups being trained right now in NYC and DC, even Venice, FL, where the 9-11 bombers were trained as pilots.

The fundamental problem is the regional educational system which instills anti-Israel hatred among Muslim Youth from the beginning. This has been the case in the region continually since the founding of Israel. Radical ideologies gain support among people kept ignorant of opposing thought or factual information counter to a preferred narrative. Until this basic cycle is broken--no peace is possible.

This is a great idea, even if it doesn't pan out as planned. Gets the conversation going. The other countries in the area always back the Gazan's and expect the West to fork over the big bucks to help. Time they share in the load or shut up.
