Israel’s Extraordinary Campaign to Infiltrate and Take Down Iran

It seems that a lot rides on how Iran's neighbors react. Once we have eliminated all of Iran's military capability, are the UAE, the Saudis and others ready to manage the straights of Hormuz? Yes, the Iranian regime is close to collapse, but not close enough. Identifying where the missile launchers are is critical. Iran continues to wreak havoc with missile strikes and, as long as they continue to do that, they won't give up. That is the last threat they continue to pose. The other thing necessary to end the regime is to continue to take out leadership, especially in the IRGC.

Not quite yet. Israel needs to take out many more radical loyalists before Iran can even think of regime change and return to a more democratic society. A strong anti-radical Islamic group needs to come to the forefront, but there are enough Ayatollah loyalists left that could clamp down on any resistance group.

I hope that it is very close to destruction, and this radical Islamic ideology will be forever destroyed!

I am not sure how close it is, but let's pray that this happens ASAP with minimal loss of life.

More pressure needs to be applied to the leadership then the people of Iran will rise up with the help of Israel and things will change!!

Several obstacles remain. No opposition leader. No effective communication within the people. No public defection within the police/military. Need those.

The Iranian government won't give up that easily. The opposition needs to be armed so they can fight back. Otherwise I don't see them taking advantage of American strikes.

Nope they aren't close. Wish the were through and hope I'm wrong. Maybe if you can take the coke point were 90% of their oil through but China may go to war at that point to keep their supply coming to them. Iran was prepare for this war and they want America hurt and badly at that. These guys will fight to the bloody end.

I certainly hope the regime will collapse sooner than later. I knew this campaign would not be a short event. I just hope it doesn't drag on for much longer. But, considering the depth of intelligence it won't. I try to remember that Israel has been dealing with Iran for decades. They have more knowledge of the regime than some of the people actually IN the regime.

No, one gets killed, another rises. Though they are likely desperate and hampered the ideology is going to be much harder to break than they thought. I back this war for the larger reasons, but do think the administration could have handled it better by getting some of the allies on board.

No. Look at the damage their leaders still caused. Shipping all but stopped. Damage done to fuel / gas in other local countries. Cost to civilians here and around the world.

Yes unless Russia continues to share logistics with the Iranians. Time to reinforce Ukraine so they can occupy Russia military attention. Ridding the Middle East of Communist Russian and Terrorist Iran should be the ultimate goal. The US and Israel have done a great job in degrading Iran's offensive and defensive capabilities, but on the ground the IRGC is still in control and has the firepower to back it up. What needs to happen is for their military to splinter with a faction going after the hardcore IRGC members supported by the CIA - remember many of these IRGC members are zealots and want to die in the name of Allah (fundamental difference between Christianity and Islam!). Civil war will ensue but hopefully only for a short time. What government comes after that, hopefully it will be aligned with the US?

I don't know how it could not be close to collapse. My gosh how many more leaders need to die before they see the writing on the wall? The Iranian people who are pro regime change need to get it done now before the Ayatollahs regroup.
