Leaked Portland Curriculum Teaches Kindergarteners and Up About Gender Ideology
By the end of fifth grade, students have learned how to “pause puberty” through hormones and surgeries, along with adopting their own pronouns.
In Portland, Oregon’s public schools, sexuality and exploring the “infinite gender spectrum” appears in kindergarten. The leaked curriculum includes radical queer theory, transgenderism, and critical race theory.
In kindergarten, the curriculum begins by teaching a graphic anatomy lesson about children’s genitalia. The lesson does not include gender-specific terms such as “boy” or “girl.”
In first and second grade, students are taught gender-identity theory. The curriculum points out that “many people think there are only two genders, girls and boys, but this is not true.”
In third through fifth grade, the district begins lessons on the LGBTQ+ spectrum and activism for the community. The overall system created by white heterosexuals is “oppressive,” according to the curriculum, and the solution is to take part in the infinite gender spectrum by promoting “queer” and “trans” identities.
By the end of fifth grade, students have learned how to “pause puberty” through hormones and surgeries, along with adopting their own pronouns. They also receive a list of six commitments to follow, encouraging them to be political activists for queer theory and the sexual revolution.
What does the Portland school system say about this? When asked for a statement, Portland Public Schools wrote: “We make certain that our curriculum is LGBTQ+ inclusive for students who identify as transgender, gender non-conforming, gender-queer, and queer to create a safe and inclusive environment for all of our students.”
