The Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) coalition now finds itself at odds with EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin over deregulation.

Recently, President Donald Trump’s EPA has rolled back PFAS limits, fast-tracked pesticide approvals, and reauthorized the use of allegedly toxic chemicals like dicamba. The move echoes Trump’s broader deregulatory push, but has MAHA influencers accusing Zeldin of siding with chemical giants over Americans.

I do not think chemicals that have proven to be harmful should have bans lifted. However unnecessary oversight and bureaucracy need to be controlled...and eliminated when possible.

Deregulation yes, but with respect to known harmful chemicals, don’t reintroduce harm. Oath: Do no harm.

Zelden has to be a little crazy to open the door to chemicals that have already been shown to be toxic. President Trump needs to get Zelden in step, decrease hassle but do not harm.

YES, I believe we've been over-regulated for many years. It is in the best interest of all of us to reduce our use of pesticides in agriculture as much as possible.

I can tell you a very interesting personal true story about this with my own agronomic research and usage of Dicamba with using an approved drift retardant surfactant, safely used in production agriculture . And when the State rather EPA type office head honcho learned what I successfully was dong to immensely lower the pesticide rate without sacrificing effective weed kill, the Deep State and that person's avowed endearment to the Sierra Club, they turned ugly on me. So, you posters in this thread, do not totally say the problem is Big Ag. None of us producers desire to apply more pesticide than we really need to, as it is also an unneeded expense. And besides, the Upward link to "dicamba" is a leftist environmental organization with their own political bent.

Deregulation of EPA protections is exactly how this world got poisoned by Monsanto with their Roundup and it's partner product GMO seeds ! Let's not double down on such a bad move as that yet again !

Zeldin should be immediately fired with prejudice for climbing into bed with Big Ag.. Seriously, is anybody worth a damn in our overall government, maybe a handful? More things change, the more things stay the same.. Didn't Trump go to bat and fight to have Zeldin in this position? Pretty sure he did.. How's that working out Don, buyers remorse yet, or just another day in D.C.. The latter seems to be playing out more and more as time goes by..

I doubt that Lee Zeldin took this step to appease "Big ag." His other actions have been made with careful consideration, and I don't think he arrived at this decision without vetting the facts and weighing the pros and cons. He has proven himself to be a man of integrity. I'm skeptical of the data that "proves" potential harm. The EPA went on a regulatory attack on a lot of things based on sketchy information. I guess I'm in favor of deregulation when it doesn't pose a threat to Americans, so I expect this has been thoroughly vetted.

Yes, do not deregulate chemicals and pesticides we already have proof are harmful to all. Focus on creating a more effective and efficient EPA. Get rid of those driving elimination if processes and products using fossil fuels. We do not need ignorant fearmongers overseeing energy supply that greatly diminishes our quality of life and futures of generations.

Hell no! I'm in an area where PFAS / PFOS have been widely found in the drinking water. I'm afraid to drink my tap water. This is a disgusting fact of life now.
