Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has only been leading her country for two and a half years. During that time, she has become one of the most prominent and influential voices on the European right, emerging as a key figure in conservative efforts to push back against progressive orthodoxy.
She has also forged strong personal relationships with American right-wing figures, such as President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, seeking to leverage their close ideological alignment to her, Italy’s, and Europe’s benefit.
