_WHAT’S HAPPENING_

New York City will close its last major migrant hotel, Row NYC, after its contract expires next April.

The city has paid the hotel’s owners over $170 million since October 2022 to house illegal migrants, an arrangement costing taxpayers more than $5 million per month.

Mayor Eric Adams (I) calls the closure a milestone in managing the crisis, but the move comes only after a dramatic drop in arrivals from the southern border.
