Proposals range from restricting enforcement at schools, churches, and courthouses to barring certain ICE hires from future state law enforcement jobs. The bills have accelerated as protests spread nationwide, though at the same time, President Trump’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is doubling down on boosting ICE activity to accomplish its mass deportations agenda.
