Q: Are you able to say with any certainty just who is funding such a well-organized and costly resistance? — James from Australia

A: The anti-ICE resistance movement is being funded by a network of established left-wing activist groups such as Indivisible Twin Cities, tying it to the broader Indivisible Project, which has received millions of dollars from progressive billionaire George Soros. Other Soros-backed groups are also at play, such as CAIR-Minnesota, ICE Watch, the Racial Justice Network, and the Immigrant Defense Network. CAIR, it should be noted, has been designated as a foreign terrorist organization by multiple states, including Florida and Texas.

It was even uncovered that a Somali nonprofit in Minnesota was trying to hire a new "Rapid Response" worker to help follow ICE around Minnesota and "prevent unlawful or coercive detentions." So, the George Soros coalition of left-wing NGOs is working alongside Somali and Islamic groups to push federal immigration enforcement out of the state.

Further, the leaders of the anti-ICE resistance are veteran activists, some of whom previously organized George Floyd–era demonstrations and now coordinate “legal observers,” vigils, and rapid-response actions to obstruct and impede ICE operations.
