_WHAT’S HAPPENING_

Voters head to the polls today in three crucial off-year elections that will serve as an early political barometer for the second Trump administration.

Republican Jack Ciatterelli is in a dead heat to secure the governorship in New Jersey, while in Virginia, Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears is challenging Democrat Abigail Spanberger. And in New York City, socialist Zohran Mamdani is seeking to trounce former Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

If the vote goes to the republicans it will show early momentum for the party. If it goes for the democrats it is a sign that there is still not enough truth reaching the citizens.

It some of these republicans, Jack Chiarelli, has voted with democrats for over a decade. He has not made NJ better even though he’s been in our legislator for over a decade. He does do one thing really well. Tell yo what to want to hear and throw mud at its opponents, but he will never tell yo his plan because he has none. Mikie Sherryl is a veteran, but she is as dishonest as they come especially when she gets deposits of multimillions of dollars to her private accounts as she became a multimillionaire during her time in Congress. Both are wrong for this state and I can’t believe this is the best NJ had to offer conservatives on the ballot.

SCUM ( a worthless or contemptible person or group of people) always rises to the top.

Now. We are stuck with another liberal Democrat in NJ. HOW SHAMEFUL IS THIS. NJ is lost. Time to move, I have a family to take care of and this state isn’t going let me do that.

no - Democrats are so deeply entrenched in blue cities and states that it has taken years for uninformed voters to wake up to the damage Democrat policies have caused and are continuing to cause. Several more years of insanity are needed to awaken enough voters to reality in places like NYC.

Not really. There’s still some of this administration’s policy to take affect. The taxes changes won’t be felt until people start filing their taxes next year. If the economy starts humming in 2026 that will have more impact.

If we have a Democrat sweep, our country is doomed.

Doesn't matter. Whatever the rhetoric of the day is at the time of asking will be the only thing that matters, because people are uneducated about the left.

My two cents say I would be surprised if republicans get out to vote today. I think a lot of the issues is not taking the midterm elections seriously.

If Ds run the slate of Virginia and NJ and California approves change in re-apportionment, as Republicans, we need to evaluate any needed changes in our message and public policies.

Any Republican win in normally democrat states will be an encouraging indicator. If the Republicans can get a budget passed that works for most and the economy improves they it should improve mid-term chances. But with redistricting in liberal states some of that could be offset.

One of the greatest comedians, who in reality was more of an oracle on the human/societal condition in America, George Carlin put it perfectly. And I quote, "That voting bullshit you people do every couple/four years don't mean shit as this country was bought and paid for a long time ago. Politicians are put in place to give you the illusion that you have a choice, you don't, you have owners, they own you. They're part of a big club, and you and I, aren't in it".. Truer words could not be spoken on the state of affairs in this country, specifically regarding politics/elections. This is the hard truth on elections as they stand today or is everybody still under the delusion they mean something, especially with what we saw go down in 2020. Hopefully we can return to an era when it means something to got to the ballot box and we actually have Representatives who follow the Constitution and serve We the People and not themselves. Boy, wouldn't that be something..

I don’t think so. They are all liberal states. I don’t know why everyone is getting excited about Mandami. The mayor of NewYork usually doesn’t translate to national races. This would probably end if voters had to speak English before they vote. It is very common for Hispanic workers to tell immigrants to vote liberal. I believe there is a lot of election fraud that the federal government needs to address.

This election signals nothing either way. Super low turnout tells us nothing about how the midterm will go.
