Almost every country has agreed to a trade deal favorable to the United States.

_WHAT’S HAPPENING_

After Liberation Day’s reciprocal tariffs were announced, the market tanked and investors panicked. President Trump ultimately agreed to pause them until August, but promised to snap them back on anyone who failed to make a trade deal by then.

His ploy has so far been a massive success, as he has secured trade deals with most of the world’s major economies. And each was similar: protective tariffs on imports to America, with no tariffs on American exports.
