Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with President Donald Trump and a coalition of European leaders at the White House on Monday, seeking to secure favorable terms as Trump pushes for a peace deal with Russia.

The Oval Office meeting with Trump and Zelensky had a far more positive mood than February’s fiasco, with all parties agreeing that a peace agreement must be reached.

The meeting came three days after Trump's summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, where the Russian leader proposed that Ukraine cede territory in exchange for ending the war.
