President Donald Trump’s birthright citizenship order, which revokes citizenship for the children of illegal migrants, is working its way through the courts.

Birthright citizenship is practically non-existent in the “old world” of Eurasia and Africa. But it’s effectively the default in the “new world” of the Americas, a change due to the nature of the two continents, with new masses of immigrants pouring into North, Central, and South America over hundreds of years.
