President Donald Trump is threatening the BBC with a $1 billion lawsuit over a documentary that deceptively edited his January 6, 2021, speech.
Trump’s legal team alleges the British state broadcaster intentionally misled viewers by splicing together separate parts of his address to make it appear he was inciting violence. The edited version omitted his call for supporters to march to the Capitol “peacefully and patriotically.”
