Trump Rebuilds the Conservative Legal Movement
The president will start picking judges who put the MAGA movement first.

The Federalist Society, a 70,000-member organization, has been the backbone of the conservative legal movement for decades. The group has worked to foster and grow conservative legal minds, preparing many for judgeships, justiceships, and helping to build legal cases in support of gun rights and against abortion.
The Society’s leaders, most notably Leonard Leo, have guided multiple American presidents in picking Supreme Court justices and lower court judges.
However, President Donald Trump recently broke with the organization after a string of legal setbacks caused by Federalist Society-backed judges, hindering his agenda. Now, he is seeking to bolster legal scholars who align more with the MAGA philosophy.
