His top pick is apparently former news anchor and Arizona gubernatorial nominee Kari Lake. In her bid for Arizona governor, Lake repeatedly showed her willingness to defend Trump. As a woman, she could potentially make up for Trump’s dwindling appeals among that demographic. Lake carries a downside in her theatricality, which could potentially outdo Trump’s. Other picks: Reportedly, a few of Trump’s advisers have speculated that he could choose his former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, though she has mounted a presidential campaign against him.
