YES.....follow the money. Don't remember where I read it; but, "soldiers fight battles, economy wins wars." Scaling back the economy, of adversaries, should be priority #1.

Lessening the influence of China, Russia and Iran in the western hemisphere and overall is a great thing. Could also help Europe in the long run.

When it comes to U.S. diplomacy against challenges from more aggressive countries (e.g. Russia, China, Iran, etc.), we have for far too long turned the other cheek and then turned it again. President Trump is the only president I can recall with the absolute commitment to making others turn the other cheek. His declaration that the policy, which he calls the Donroe Doctrine (which plays against the Monroe Doctrine - if you're not familiar with it, look it up). While it's amusing when he does things like that, his policy is nonetheless the right one and long overdue.
