The American investment firm BlackRock is becoming a major international player. In the past few years, its financial holdings have dramatically increased — and with more money has come more opportunity. The company recently announced it would be purchasing ports on both sides of the Panama Canal from a Hong Kong-based company. At the same time, it has taken an active interest in rebuilding Ukraine.
