Socialist New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani has come under fire for his statements sympathizing with terrorist organizations and associations with terror-linked individuals.

From refusing to agree that Hamas should “lay down their arms and give up leadership in Gaza” to palling around with imams associated with acts of terrorism, Mamdani has consistently sympathized with radical Islamic terror — and he has a good shot of becoming New York’s next mayor.

Anyone with links to terrorist people should be disqualified from public office. We need to be smart enough to not put people in positions of power that would try to destroy our nation.

I don't understand how he ever got to the point of being on a ballot. Maybe I'm just too old (at 55) to understand how this younger generation doesn't understand how dangerous someone like this is to the US.

Yes. While free speech must be protected, terrorist should be tried and jailed. Remember, people voted for this Muslim Islamic. Same type as destroyed the Twin Towers. Get what you vote for.

Again, where has our Nation gone that this is a serious question? Not even the German people in the 1930’s or Russians in circa 1917 would have voted for a Socialist Terrorist but now there is a possibility that a population could vote for one is sad, very sad.

Absolutely! Not being born in America ought to be enough to ban him from public office. I say this as a naturalized citizen myself who loves America. But when there are clear links to & support for terrorist groups, individuals, & the death-cult of Islam(ism), disqualification ought to be immediate😔🙏😌

"...common sense of the voter." = There is not much, if any. This is what Upward even stated in today's article: "Mamdani leads among younger voters. Younger voters clearly remain undeterred by Mamdani’s radical views". All that is a product of today's young voters being indoctrinated with all the leftist lying propaganda that the 'youngsters' have no common sense to recognize, let alone think it through which includes seeing what is currently happening in front of their eyes. It is no wonder it was a wide open mission field for Charlie Kirk. And yet these young voters go out to the "No Kings" demonstrations. They do not recognize who the real King is: The party they are aligned with - the DemoCommies and there so called leaders, Nancy, Lizzie, Joey, Commiela, Chuckie and Hakeem. They and their policies are the true King Dictators. And yet they just expect rest of us to say nothing and fall right in line.

Absolutely. Someone who knowingly associates with a terrorist (in the true sense of the word, not what the left calls a "terrorist") should be considered a terrorist. There is no half way there.

IMO, articles like this make the huge assumption that the younger voters are actually paying attention. The fact that Mamdani is going to be the next NYC mayor is my evidence that they are clearly not! They hear “free” and that’s all they need. Cuomo being the main opponent is also quite scary. Sliwa? Maybe a bit of a nut job although his intentions seem honorable.
