☕ Daily Brief: Russiagate Documents Expose Obama’s Coup

WHAT WE'RE WATCHING

🧨 Thomas Massie blew a truce with President Trump. In recent weeks, the Kentucky congressman had asked House Speaker Mike Johnson to contact the White House in order to begin a political truce. Both sides agreed to stop attacks on each other, and the White House even agreed to back off on its attempt to oust the congressman in next year’s primary. But Massie then shocked Johnson by attacking Trump over the Epstein client list.

💣 Bernie Sanders tried and failed to block arms sales to Israel. The Trump administration recently approved $675 million in weapons sales to the Jewish State - but Sanders (I-VT) sought to block it via two Senate resolutions. While the resolutions failed, with both getting over 70 senators in support, over half of Senate Democrats — a record number — voted to support the measure. While it would likely never have gone into effect — House passage would have been difficult, and President Trump would have vetoed — it demonstrates the anti-Israel animus building on the left.

🇰🇷 President Trump locked down a trade deal with South Korea. The agreement, announced on Truth Social, will see South Korea invest $350 billion into the American economy. Like other agreements with Japan and the European Union, tariffs on exports to the United States will be set at 15 percent, while South Korea will have no tariffs on American exports. South Korea was one of the final major economies America had yet to strike a deal with ahead of the August 1st trade deadline.

🇮🇳 The White House announced tariffs of 25 percent on India. Calling their trade barriers “strenuous and obnoxious,” President Trump announced high tariffs on India. He also critiqued the country for buying energy and weaponry from Russia and implied there would be an even higher “penalty” for such actions. The move is surprising, as President Trump has had a good personal relationship with India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

_WHAT’S HAPPENING_

Newly released documents, declassified by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, show that the infamous 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) that launched the Trump-Russia collusion narrative was based on flimsy, politicized, and in some cases entirely fabricated intelligence.
