Cole Allen attempted to assassinate the president and his top cabinet officials on Saturday. He left behind a detailed, 1,000-word manifesto outlining his motivations and planned rules of engagement.
The document, sent to his family members roughly 10 minutes before the attack, reveals Allen believed he had a moral and even a religious duty as a Christian to target President Trump and the Cabinet. His writings not only echo many of the same mainstream media talking points used to attack Trump, including many conspiracy theories, but also reveal his own twisted interpretations of scripture to justify assassinations.
