President Donald Trump cemented his dominance over the Republican Party last week, as his endorsed candidates went 37-0 in GOP primaries across six states. The results showcased Trump's sustained ability to take out his critics and consolidate power.
Most notably, Trump-backed Ed Gallrein defeated 14-year incumbent Rep. Thomas Massie in Kentucky's 4th Congressional District, while Rep. Julia Letlow advanced to a runoff against Sen. Bill Cassidy in Louisiana after Trump recruited her to challenge the senator who voted to convict him during his second impeachment trial. Rep. Andy Barr easily won Kentucky's Senate primary with Trump's backing, and Sen. Tommy Tuberville secured Alabama's gubernatorial nomination.
