Uncertainty Remains Around the Jan. 6 Pipe Bomber

I remember when the DC Sniper Attacks were happening... and I remember how authorities often intentionally provided the media/public misleading information so that they could apprehend the individuals. I think at one point, they told the public they were looking for a van, instead of the caprice they were searching for... At any rate, I don't understand why the public feels as if they are entitled to knowing every aspect of "an ongoing investigation" as it is called. Sometimes not releasing the full details is an effort to continue tracking other involved parties in the mix.

Unsure. We seem to have good people at the top, but I suspect the deep state is still embedded in the FBI and DOJ.

Cole was a supporter of BLM. Anything he is saying today that appears to be a conservative viewpoint is a lie. Now he is caught he wants to to help his liberal friends.

I trust the investigation, but not the arrest or conviction. KNOWN bad actors, caught red-handed are still in congress!!!!! Not a single criminal in the gov't has been arrested, charged and sentenced....even with EVIDANCE! I guess James and Comey will just continue to roam our streets? Didn't Mandami LIE on his college application, thus rendering his "citizenship" illegal? And yet he was elected Mayor!?!?! WTF yo? I am still wary of most in government agencies and leaders, but I stay optimistic that we have many honorable people. And they will continue to do the right thing for our country and the people's welfare and future!

Actually unsure. There was no transparency in the democrats reign. Many of the same personnel are still there who did not do their job. Many are still there who subverted their oath.

Not sure. I am very skeptical with all government officials and agencies. There is a lot of talk, but very little action, none of the major players or leaders have yet been put in cuffs and taken into custody and charges filled and executed.

Wouldn't it be stupid if the FBI outlined exactly how they found this guy? Especially if they are building a case against him with the evidence they have. That'd be like laying all their cards out on the table for the defense to build their case too. And if the FBI describes how they were able to find him to the news, doesn't that just make it easier for other criminals to learn how to hide their evidence trail better and get away with crimes more?

It's weird to be in this era when people think everything needs to be public at all times.

Yes, I trust the FBI's investigation. As the interview with Sam Tanenhaus pointed out, Cole obtained bomb material well before Jan 6th, and if he stated his motive was that the 2020 election was stolen, why did he place bombs at the headquarters of both parties? It looks like he just wanted to create chaos for the government. Having said that, the FBI leadership should watch for deep state involvement.

In an ongoing case and a trial presumably in the future full disclosure isn’t normally done even by local authorities. Appears to be following standard protocol.

On the other hand, Cole should be thankful that the pipe bomb didn’t exploded. That would be a lot on his mind if that did!

I have no reason not to trust, at this point. It would be nice to see the evidence, but they can't show their hand until trial since it would taint a jury pool.

I agree with so many others that the deep states influence and back door deals may have screwed the investigation. But let’s take that a step further. Did they just create a scapegoat. I’m sure Patel is leading the best investigation he can, but the deep state has hidden the facts for so long. Do we honestly know what the truth is anymore????

Yes and Cole confessed that he did believed that the election was stolen from Donald Trump. Yet he is on the conservative side. That still doesn’t make sense. Scratching my head! DUH!
