WHAT WE'RE WATCHING

House GOP blocked Epstein files release. Only one Republican on the House Rules Committee voted to advance a Democratic amendment requiring the DOJ to release all Epstein-related records. The rest rejected it without debate. Trump has urged supporters to move on, but skepticism within his base remains high. The vote has deepened a rift between GOP leadership and supporters demanding transparency.

🇬🇧 UK secretly flew in 24,000 Afghan migrants. The British government admitted to importing nearly 24,000 Afghans under a £7 billion program shielded by a media gag order. The secrecy followed a massive data leak that exposed Afghan collaborators to Taliban retaliation. Many of those flown in had previously been ruled ineligible. Parliament was kept in the dark, and none were counted in official immigration figures.

🇺🇸 Trump announced $92B AI and energy push. President Trump unveiled $92 billion in private-sector investments to expand data centers and power infrastructure, including major commitments from Google, CoreWeave, and Blackstone. This simultaneously expands job creation in critical sectors at home while combating China’s AI program abroad.

🏠 Trump accused Adam Schiff of mortgage fraud. President Trump accused Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) of lying about his Maryland home’s status to secure better mortgage terms, calling it a “sustained pattern of possible mortgage fraud.” Schiff denies wrongdoing, but records show he listed two homes as “primary residences” on different documents. The accusation revives long-standing tensions between the two.

Trump brings the heat to Russia

_WHAT’S HAPPENING_

President Donald Trump has reversed course on Ukraine, announcing a new weapons deal with NATO that will funnel American-made arms to Kyiv, paid for entirely by European allies. The president also threatened Moscow with 100 percent tariffs if they do not agree to a ceasefire within 50 days.

The move follows months of stalled aid, failed diplomacy with Vladimir Putin, and mounting civilian casualties on both sides of the Russo-Ukrainian War.

_FACTS AND INSIGHTS_

  • Trump’s new approach will see the US selling weapons to NATO, which then pays for and transfers them to Ukraine.

  • His frustration appears rooted in the belief that he was misled — or even fooled — by Vladimir Putin.
